How to comply with Marketing Restrictions

Marketing restrictions apply to some experiences, to which you must comply.

The restrictions are imposed by our supply partners and are strictly enforced. Failure to comply with these restrictions will result in your account being suspended!

Restriction details are provided in the Content API Products endpoint under the marketing_restrictions_detailed element.

A product can have several restrictions of different types.

⚠️ Deprecation notice

Please note that the element marketing_restrictions is deprecated. Please migrate to marketing_restrictions_detailed to prevent violating restrictions.

Restriction types

The restriction type is defined by the element type.

Google Things To Do (TTD): Ads and Booking Module

"type": "THINGS_TO_DO_ADS"
"type": "THINGS_TO_DO_BOOKING_MODULE"

A product can have restrictions on TTD Ads and/or TTD Booking Module. If these restrictions are set, you are NOT permitted to advertise it on Google Things To Do. If a product has no restriction and you wish to promote it on TTD, please ensure that you use the Google Things To Do price as returned by Tiqets in the price_in_supplier_currency and supplier_currency fields. This ensures that the price displayed on your account matches the price that Tiqets provides, preventing discrepancies due to fluctuating currency exchange rates.

Ad content

"type": "AD_CONTENT"

Any content that is prohibited to be used in the ads themselves for a set of languages and locations.

Keyword

Any keyword that is prohibited to be used to trigger an ad.

Targeting

Any geo targeting that is prohibited to be used for an ad.

Restriction scope

The elements scope and scope_geolocation determine the scope of the restriction.

Example of a restriction that applies for the country Germany:

Restriction languages

The restriction can apply for one language, a list of languages, or all languages. The languages are returned as a list of IETF language codes.

Restriction parameters

Ad content and keyword restrictions have the restricted parameters defined as a list of strings.

Example of keyword restrictions for a Tiqetsmuseum:
