Glossary

  • Experience: At Tiqets we speak of Experiences when we talk about Activities and Venues such as Canal cruises in Amsterdam or the Louvre Museum.

  • Multi-sourcing: At Tiqets we speak of Multi-sourcing when we talk about the ability to group identical Products from different suppliers into a single unified Product. This helps ensure better availability, higher conversion, and a smoother booking experience. For example, for the same Experience like Warner Bros. Studio Tour, you might find several Products from different suppliers. Multisourcing automatically merges them into one, so customers see just one option—while still benefiting from the best availability and price.

  • Order: An order is a transaction to purchase one or more tickets to an experience. It is made for a certain product, one or more variants, and a certain time.

  • Package: A package combines two or more products usually at a discounted price compared to the individual tickets. For example, entry tickets for different attractions in the same city.

  • Product: We speak of Product to talk about the different options to enjoy an Experience. For example for the Experience Louvre Museum you can find products such as "Louvre Museum: E-Ticket" or "Louvre Museum: Dedicated Entry + Guided Tour".

  • Product group: A selection of products that is in some way related to each other. For example products that offer access to the same Experience, but that come with different inclusions or services.

  • Variant (or Product Variant): a type of ticket for a product. In most cases they are a simple type of participant such as "Adult", or "Child" but can sometime refer to more complex options such as "Adult, 24 hour ticket" or "Adult, 48 hour ticket".

  • Add-on: a variant that can be booked in combination with another variant. For example, an museum entry ticket can have the option to add an audio guide as an add-on. The add-on cannot be booked by itself.
